DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE REPRINT:

-the genuine stamps are of a more reddish brown. The reprint is of a rich dark brown. Because the die was repaired, the whole head is smaller and neck of the queen shows an "Adam's apple" in the reprint. The curl of hair is vestigial in the reprint.

Watch out for "posted 5R stamps" made from 1863 reprints with the neck covered by the postmark.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DISTINTIVAS DA REIMPRESSÃO:

-os selos originais são de um castanho mais claro. Como o cunho foi reparado e polido, a cabeça é mais pequena na reimpressão, com duas entradas de tinta na frente do pescoço (característica distintiva) e uma trança vestigial.

Cuidado com "selos originais" fabricados a partir de reimpressões com carimbos falsos que cobrem o pescoço.
