DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE REPRINT:

-the frame of the 1905 reprint is only broken at its lower part. Most originals have the same break or else a nick in the same spot (see stamp at left). Both the 1863 and the 1885 reprints have a second frame break at the top right corner (see the 1863 reprint illustrated above). The reprint is distinguishable from the originals by its thin yellowish paper and dull color. The reprint was issued gummed.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Because of its similiarity with the original issue, the 1905 reprint is a favorite with forgers. Watch out for "posted 50R stamps" made from 1905 reprints, like the example above right..

CARACTERÍSTICAS DISTINTIVAS DA REIMPRESSÃO:

-a moldura da reimpressão de 1905 só está aberta em baixo, como na maior parte dos originais. a falha no canto superior direito, que identifica as reimpressões de 1863 e de 1885, distinguem-nas desta. Por outro lado, a reimpressão de 1905 distingue-se dos originais elo papel fino amarelado e cor baça. A reimpressão foi emitida com goma.

NOTA IMPORTANTE: Dada a sua similaridade com os originais esta reimpressão é a favorita dos falsificadores. Cuidado com os "originais" fabricados com carimbos falsos, como o exemplo acima.
