DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE REPRINT:

- the frame is over-inked on the left side (the frame is also over-inked on the right side in both the original and the reprint). There is a break in the right margin of the frame that is absent in the original. The reprint is distinguishable from the originals by its thin yellowish paper and dull color. The reprint was issued gummed.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Because of its similiarity with the original issue, the 1905 reprint is a favorite with forgers. Watch out for "posted 100R stamps" made from 1905 reprints, like the example above right that has an expert's mark in the back and all.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DISTINTIVAS DA REIMPRESSÃO:

-os selos originais tinham a moldura algo empastada do lado direito. A reimpressão de 1905 mantém este empastamento, localmente mais pronunciado, mas tem também o lado esquerdo empastado (embora menos do que a de 1863), o que a distingue do original. Existe uma abertura na moldura direita que não existia no original nem na reimpressão de 1863. O papel é fino e amarelado e a cor é mais mortiça do que no original. A reimpressão foi emitida com goma.

NOTAS IMPORTANTES: Atenção às reimpressões passadas por originais- tanto com carimbo (como o exemplo acima que até tem uma marca de perito), como sem ele.
